On March 19, 2020, the Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County issued a curfew order to combat the COVID-19 epidemic. One local business owner, Andrew Clyde, of Clyde Armory, challenged the County's power to issue the "shelter-in-place" ordinance.
Attorney Mo Wiltshire represented Clyde in his lawsuit against the County. In this conversation with Richard James Boyle, former detective for the Athens-Clarke County Police Department, and local attorney, we discuss the issues presented in the Clyde case, as well as how it was resolved.
